Hottie from History #4 - George Hamilton-Gordon, 4th Earl of Aberdeen, KG, KT, FRS, PC, PM of GB and king of the acronysms.
Ok, so he was the Prime minister of Britain from 1852 to 55, and was pretty unmemorable if I’m frank, although he did follow Peel in the repeal of the Corn laws. Which won’t seem a big deal unless you’ve studied British political history, but essentially that was GOOD because it meant people weren’t forced to spend their life savings on a loaf of bread.
Oh, and he took Britain into the Crimean War, which was BAD. Loads of people died because the Ottoman Empire was collapsing (like a flan in a cupboard) and all of Europe went in to “protect the holy places” but essentially wanted to loot the place.
But look into those smoldering eyes and tell me you wouldn’t jump on a horse and charge along with the rest of the Light Brigade if he asked you to.
Yummy.
